  • Support implementation of parts storage strategies ensuring alignment with industry best practices, optimizing turnover/aging while minimizing obsolescence and loss.
  • Support corporate/regional inventory optimization programs including but not limited to: rationalization, standardization, substitution, and divestment of inventory.
  • Oversees activities of the warehouse, including issues related to material logistics and expediting, storage and inventory contract maintenance and or property utilization in accordance with mining operations, corporate and site policies, procedures, and regulations.

People Management:

  • Provide directions to the procurement and warehousing team, on a day-to-day basis.
  • Identifies strategies and key performance goals and acts as an advisor to the direct reports; works to overcome challenges and barriers and minimize risk.
  • Sets performance targets and measures, monitors and manages overall performance of the function and direct reports.
  • Builds the capabilities of the team to enhance their ability to achieve the financial and operating strategy; hires appropriately, leverages the talent of the function and takes corrective action where necessary.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • University degree in resource management
  • 8-10 years Supply Chain Management experience in a fast-moving mining environment preferred.
  • 5 years supervisory experience in dynamic work environment.
  • SCMP or CPIM designation preferred.
  • Remote and mining experience would be ideal
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced negotiating skills and strong leadership
  • Effective ability to convey messages in an organized, clear succinct way
  • The individual should have demonstrated a high level of energy, self motivation and strong organizational skills.
