Job description: Reporting to the Construction Superintendent you will be part of the Capital Projects Department. You will be responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating and executing construction activities for projects within the Capital Projects portfolio. Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in mining engineering technology preferred; considerable experience in related field will be considered in lieu;

  • Knowledge of basic project management techniques (i.e.progress measurement and earned value technique) and experience in estimation, cost monitoring, analyzing and reporting;
  • Experience in underground mine development is an asset
  • Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines;
  • People management skills and experience managing Contractor personnel is an asset;
  • Working knowledge of regular financial and procurement processes, preferably in construction or engineering projects is an asset;
  • Good work ethic and strong attitude towards safety;
  • Knowledge of Ontario OH&S Act & Regulations is considered an asset;
