We are expanding our Digital Marketing team with two new full-time Digital Marketers to implement, track, optimize the performance of our strategies. As a core member of the team, you get to exercise, broaden, and deepen your expertise in a wide range of inbound marketing skills while enabling our company’s growth over the next few years. The role

As one of our two Digital Marketers, you will be responsible for building, executing, and optimizing a variety of digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and educate our customers on the benefits of our admissions and development assessments, and higher education program management products and tools. You’ll work on bringing leads in (top of the funnel) and nurturing them throughout the funnel. You’ll share what you’ve learned with the rest of the team so we can optimize our work. You’ll also have the freedom to experiment and try new tactics to drive leads and conversions.

This is a full-time position based in Canada and reports to our Senior Manager, Digital Marketing. We are a remote-first company that returned to a limited office presence in Toronto and co-working space opportunities outside the GTA in February 2022 to accommodate employees that want or need an office or a hybrid option.

In this role, you will:

  • Assess campaign and strategy performance
  • Tweak and optimize live campaigns
  • Present campaign performance

  • Be measured on the number of MQLs you generate

In 12 months, you will:

  • Have an intimate understanding of our market, products, as well as our customers and their needs
  • Look at the data and reports generated to understand the story it is telling, and how to make your campaigns even more compelling
  • Have an arsenal of tried, tested, and proved campaigns, but also the support to try new things and find creative ways to drive our leads and conversions

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Experience running campaigns including retargeting, programmatic, and geo-targeting, and an understanding of bid strategy
  • Knowledge of UTM/tracking codes, and know how to set up naming conventions and build data reports
  • Experience with platforms like Google Ads and StackAdapt
  • Experience promoting different mediums, including video
  • A foundational understanding of how different traffic sources (Direct, Organic, Paid, Social) have different KPIs and success metrics
  • Background in paid social media strategy

  • Able to live our core values of Caring, Curious, and Driven
  • Nurturing and empathetic with a professional, positive attitude
  • Highly curious about how the business works
  • A person with loosely held yet strong opinions. You know why you want what you want and remain humble, can accept that you can be wrong, and constantly seek out creating the best possible solutions
  • Interested in being part of a team that’s building a sustainable, high-growth business
  • Someone who prefers working in an entrepreneurial startup environment where you can challenge the status quo, work autonomously, be an optimizer and a changemaker, and help us focus where it counts
  • Genuinely interested in and curious about Higher Education and EdTech

The interview process

Our interview process optimizes for a positive candidate experience. You’ll see our general steps outlined below. At each step, you’ll have the opportunity to get to know us and ask questions that can help you decide if Altus is a fit for you at this stage in your career.

  • Intro Phone Call. A real human from our People & Culture team will review your application and, if selected, have a phone conversation to get to know you better and tell you more about the role, team and our company. (Time allocation: 30 – 45 minutes, plus your preparation time.)
  • Meet The Manager. You’ll meet your potential future manager via a video call to discuss your background and experiences in more depth. (Time allocation: 30 – 60 minutes, plus your preparation time.)

  • Reference Checks. We’ll ask you for 2-3 professional references we can reach out to and chat about your time working together.
  • Wait For a Final Decision. The Hiring Manager consolidates feedback from each team member you’ve met. We may reach out to you for a quick additional call to help our decision.
  • Receive an Offer. If you are our perfect match, and we’re yours, you’ll get an offer from us over a video call.

We offer you

About Altus and our team

Altus offers Higher Education institutions admissions and learner assessments, program management tools, and learner and program data analytics.

Altus was born out of the frustrations of our founders, who personally experienced the inefficiencies and ineffectiveness of applicant and learner assessment in healthcare education. From there, Altus has grown to become an end-to-end program intelligence platform that enables higher education programs to streamline and automate labour-intensive processes while integrating data sets to provide a holistic view of learners and programs.

No other solution provides a program with a unified view of learner and program – from application to graduation. Our vision is to provide program administration with a high-fidelity view for clear and defensible decision-making. Whether through research-backed assessment methodology or integrated, contextual data sets, our solutions will continue to define how schools assess learners and programs.

We’re a quirky, vibrant, and diverse group of 140+ working collaboratively to tackle challenging problems (like evaluating empathy in someone who wants to train to become a doctor) and some less tough ones (like how to answer that bonus question on Trivia Night).

Our core values are Caring, Curious, and Driven, and we embody these in everything we do. We genuinely care about the well-being of others, we possess an innate desire to learn continually, and every day we strive to be better than the person we were the day before.

We are committed to building a company and team that embraces and celebrates diversity and inclusion. We want you to apply regardless of your race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, and veteran or disability status. We know that diverse teams bring more perspective to the table, build better products, contribute to our financial success and help foster a more inclusive work environment for all. Still, the bottom line is that building a diverse team is the right thing to do.
