Job Description
Position: Head of Financial Planning & Analysis
Location: Toronto, ON
A leading financial services organization is seeking an experienced Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to join their team in Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function, developing and implementing financial models, and providing strategic analysis and decision support to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage the financial planning and analysis team, providing guidance and support
– Develop and maintain financial planning models and forecasts
– Analyze financial results and provide insights to senior management
– Work closely with business units to understand financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
– Prepare and present financial analysis and reports to senior management
– Provide ad hoc analysis and decision support as required
– Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial processes and systems improvements
– Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred
– Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA)
– 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis roles
– Strong leadership and management skills
– Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills
– Experience working in a complex, multi-business unit environment
– Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of financial systems
– Strong communication and presentation skills
