We’re looking for a Director, eCommerce (Hybrid) to join our growing company and play a key role in our customer experience by ensuring each purchase ends in a smile!
Job Description
In this role you will::
- As part of the leadership, provide coaching and overall direction to colleagues
- Complete management and oversight of the eCommerce Team (8-9 Associates)
- Be main contact for product user experience, product data and imagery
- Lead eCommerce site initiatives to enable increased revenue through all eCommerce stores
- Manage new product updates to ensure that all on-site deliverables meet our experience standards and run operations of new and current product initiatives
- Final approval of content, product descriptions, imagery.
- Assist and manage status of inventory and ensure any price changes, descriptions, roll-outs are reflected accurately on the site
- Be responsible for the development, integration, optimization, migration, deployment, and maintenance of our online products.
- Work within our eCommerce team to build products, as well as define product vision and customer needs
- Keep up to date with Merchandising to understand inflow and outflow of products and work closely with 3rd party vendors to ensure that images and product descriptions are accurate
- Work closely with business analytics to understand product sales and make recommendations on website product arrangement
- Translate strategies into actionable and measurable tactics as well as monitor and measure performance of the products or new releases and understand how customers are engaging with our products on site
- Collaborate on digital programs from concept to launch with various internal (IT, Merchandising, etc.) and external stakeholders to build products that deliver growth and exceptional customer experience
- Test, learn, analyze and deliver experiences, optimizing our product performance and customer experience
- Lead regular touchpoint meetings and to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved
- Partner cross functionally to facilitate decision-making, propose alternative solutions, and help identify gaps in our product and business.
- Manage the execution of user interface design, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure best-in-class site experiences.
- Ensure that site and all external digital content aligns with the brand guidelines and that all products are relevant and updated accordingly to meet timelines in order to ensure the customer has an optimal customer experience that aligns with our stores
- Optimize product navigation, customer experience and conversion rates through setting up A/B tests and communicate customer product reviews, with other teams to better improve the online customer experience
Qualifications
The Qualifications and Experience with like to see:
- University/College in Business, Marketing, or other related discipline
- 5+ years experience with a Direct to Consumer (DTC) brand
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing techniques: 3+ years experience with SEM, SEO, email marketing, web analytics, as well as other channels
- Proven track record overseeing the growth of an ecommerce business across DTC and/or marketplaces
- Ability to flex between working at a strategic level, while also diving into the details to manage day to day operations and deliver on new initiatives or projects
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring, project management, analytical, communication. and collaboration skills
- Ability to build relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders as grow the business
- Experience with product launches and promotions, building and optimizing outstanding customer journeys for ecommerce: background working with design and technical teams to build and optimize websites
- Knowledgeable of best practices for web content, conversion optimization, site hierarchy and organization, accessibility and site speed optimization
- Current on industry trends and best practices for web/mobile ecommerce and growth marketing
- Previous experience using Shopify, Amazon or other ecommerce platforms
