At Navamargh we provide a complete Digital Marketing package from Strategy development to implementation through our 6-D process. We provide services across social media marketing, Search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, paid-per-click advertising across Facebook, Google Adwords, content marketing services that include creative writing and online press release distribution and website development.
The SEO Intern will assist the Marketing Head in daily design, web, and social media tasks. The intern will have the opportunity to develop a solid understanding of online marketing, content creation and off-site promotion.
Ideal candidates will be available 35 hours per week. The internship may lead to a full-time position for the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Learning basic SEO strategies (keyword research, link acquisition, and on-site optimization)
- Liaising with the Marketing Head to implement SEO campaigns, execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve successful SEO campaigns
- Understanding Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools & Bing Webmaster Tools
- Identifying and resolving 404 crawl errors and fixing dead links
- Improving metadata across older articles and services
- Optimizing copy and landing pages for search engine optimization
- Performing ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
- Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic SEO success
- Assist in the daily tasks across our social accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube & Twitter)
- Run website analysis/diagnostics and recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
- Track, report and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
- Monitor trends and prepare competitive analysis for other popular brands in our sector
- Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
- Prior experience in SEO/SEM marketing and marketing database an asset
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising SEO campaigns that generate traffic
- Experience with WordPress and basic HTML is a plus
- Strong interest in online marketing with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, WebTrends) is a plus
- Working knowledge in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
