The candidate would work closely with cross functional departments and plant staff in creating and deploying various projects. This is an on-site role at the Brockville, Ontario Manufacturing facility, candidate needs to hold Safety and Quality at the utmost importance.This is a 12-month internship and is based out of our Brockville FacilityIn addition to respecting established procedures, he/she must pay particular attention to the work methods used in the performance of his/her tasks to be efficient and safe.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and own small engineering projects across the site
  • Work with various OEM’s and Contractors to facilitate and execute work
  • Communicate with operations and maintenance resources to plan and execute projects, and ensure adequate handover (training, parts, up front design requirements, line intrusive time etc.)
  • Work on technical documentation organization, updating and cleanup
  • Work to execute missing devise labeling and identification
  • Inform immediate supervisor of potential problems or process improvements.
  • Other project work as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment is an asset
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Experience in Project Management and coordination activities – ordering technical equipment, coordinating shop drawings and transmittals to clients, create building material lists for projects, coordinate trade contractors on-site, maintain project documentation is an asset
  • Be extremely organized and communicate effectively with customers, peers, and reporting managers
  • Experience reading schematics and P&ID’s is considered an asset
  • AutoCAD and Microsoft Office experience is a plus
  • Commissioning, training, and documentation of projects
  • Strong analytic skills and data centric mindset
  • Strong verbal and oral communication, and ability to make presentations and reports
  • Ability to work Individually and within a team environment
  • Be punctual, diligent, versatile, and methodical
  • Loves to learn, is curious and is not afraid to ask questions
  • Must be registered in a post-secondary program in a related field for the 2025-2026 academic year
