We’ve got what you’re looking for.Job Description:Parsons is looking for amazingly talented student internships: Critical Infrastructure (Civil) – GTAParsons has contributed to major infrastructure projects in Canada since the 1940’s, helping to design and build many well-known landscapes across the country, including the Turcot Exchange, 401 Expansion Regina Bypass, , Southwest Calgary Ring Road, Edmonton Light Rail, Kicking Horse Canyon Pass.The Parsons’ signature stands out and our achievements have been recognized via numerous awards for innovation and quality, particularly in long-span bridges, complex bridges, and major road networks expansions. Our students participate in a wide range of projects and can expect to gain experience in design, project management, proposal development and relationship building.Design Students: You’ll prepare road & highway design and traffic engineering layouts under the supervision of intermediate/senior design engineers. You’ll design drawings utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge. You can expect to gain experience using Civil 3D, InRoads & Microstation. You will help support a wide variety of municipal, structural, water and transportation-related projects, ranging from smaller land development projects to larger municipal projects involving the study, planning, and design of infrastructure such as complete streets, pathways, cycling facilities, rapid transit facilities, and other transportation systems.By the end your internship you will be able to perform complex geometrics design of transportation systems and participate in the design process on large projects and implement process, scope and quality checks. We anticipate that you will be able to aide in the design of projects and be able to work with our up and coming engineers to ensure they understand the standards of quality work which you are known for.Position is available in Markham Ontario or Oakville, Ontario.
