As a social media marketing intern, you will be discovering, learning and executing marketing strategies on our socials!

This internship is 35 hours/week, and is 4-6 months in length with the opportunity of extension and full-time opportunities.

What you’ll do:

  • Creating content and brainstorming ideas for campaigns
  • Creating blog posts for Plant Collective
  • Post on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest
  • Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites
  • Research each platform’s trending topics and on best-in-class examples in our categories
  • Analyzes analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.
  • Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes.
  • Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems.
  • Assists in creating performance reports.
  • Work closely with the Chief Branding Officer and Marketing team to develop strategic plans for social media presence
  • Research competitor brands on all social media platforms
  • Develop and post articles for website content
  • Assist with maintenance of a community
  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies aimed at increasing awareness
  • Some administrative tasks

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent communication including outstanding written, oral, and organizational skills
  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest,
  • Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics and Facebook Insights. * Experience using social media management tools (ex: Hootsuite).
  • An analytical mind capable of learning quickly, adapting to change, and problem solving.
  • Must be actively involved with social media channels either personally or for business
  • Have a passion for the world of social media marketing and digital marketing
  • Currently in school or a recent graduate
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Positive attitude and a team players
  • Well organized; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, often under tight deadlines
  • Must have reliable access to laptop and phone

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary education in Marketing an asset
  • 1 year to less than 2 years’ experience in a similar role; preferably in CPG – Consumer Packaged Goods
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently or with minimum supervision
  • Must be knowledgeable with MS Applications
  • Experience using CRM applications
  • Experience in skin care/spa industry is an asset
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods industry
