Their creative vision and technical expertise will play a key role in engaging our audience and driving brand awareness.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop initial outlines, storyboards, interview questions and/or scripts.
- Obtains necessary approvals; drafts project costing/funding proposals.
- Prepares/sets schedules and production timelines.
- Arrange equipment, and prepare data cards, batteries, etc.
- Organizes transportation of equipment and/or crew to campus locations if required. Loading, unloading and set up of all equipment.
- Directs talent and crew and prepares all production elements including lighting and ensures the safety of all talent and crew.
- Analyses all audio and video footage to determine best takes of primary assets and b-roll.
- Performs final selection of elements/digital assets with storyboards, outlines, scripts, and staff as guidelines.
- Determines/selects music and obtains all necessary rights for usage.
- Assembles picture, soundtrack, graphics, and narration. Edits these materials using a variety of editing software and equipment to prepare rough cuts, including Frames.io, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Continuously analyses social media metrics, such as engagement rates, reach, and conversion rates, to evaluate the effectiveness of video content. Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement, refine strategies, and optimize all channels’ performance.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Three-year diploma/degree from a recognized post-secondary institution plus a professional certification or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a social media video content producer. Proficiency with hands-on video recording as well as directing crew in the use of digital camera, lighting, sound, and teleprompter equipment.
- Demonstrated experience with common storytelling and filmmaking techniques including interviewing subjects.
- Technical expertise in editing software; Frames.io, FinalCut Pro, Logic, Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Audition and Premiere Pro. Extensive knowledge of video codecs, compositing, transcoding, and video formatting across channels (i.e. web, mobile, social media, broadcast). Experience in scheduling and production management.
