The AP Specialist will report to the Accounting Supervisor, and lead the procurement-to-payment process for the company. They will become the go-to person for vendor and payment inquiries, employee expenses, and work closely with all departments to help each with their purchasing. This role is full-time and offers a flexible hybrid work model, combining working from home and at our Mississauga HQ office.Duties and Responsibilities:
To succeed as Rodan’s AP Specialist, you will need to be very organized with strong attention to detail. You will take the initiative to learn the ins and outs of your tasks, the underlying business activities, and get to know the team. With time, you will become an expert user with AP related financial systems, recommend process improvements, and support special projects.

  • Monitor incoming vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
  • Verify invoice and expense details, ensure appropriate approvals are received, compare to budget, and confirm receipt of goods and services.
  • Use and administer software tools (QuickBooks and Yooz AP Automation) to enter invoice details and store backup documentation.
  • Apply internal policies and practical judgement to ensure invoices are recorded correctly.
  • Prepare and process payment runs using the online banking platform.
  • Learn and build on existing AP policies, processes, templates.
  • Seek to continuously improve AP and processes by identifying pain points, suggesting changes, leveraging technology, and working with all departments to implement solutions.
  • Support all departments by clarifying related purchasing and payables questions and advising staff on next steps.
  • Prepare accruals, reconciliations, and analysis/reports related to purchasing to support month end close and reporting deliverables.
  • Support and lead special projects.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

  • 2 or more years’ experience in an accounting or finance role (full-time, co-op or internship experience).
  • Experience supporting payables at an organization with multiple lines of business
  • Training in accounting, such as an undergraduate degree in business.
  • Experience learning and implementing new systems.
  • Intermediate Excel and Word skills.
  • Experience developing and documenting business processes.

As a Meter Technician Summer co-op, you’ll be involved in the installation and maintenance of metering and energy management systems, playing a key role in supporting essential field operations. This role is ideal for students with MEARIE or similar training who are based in the GTA and open to travel within the region—and occasionally across Ontario. You’ll gain practical experience, work alongside experienced technicians, and develop valuable skills in electrical systems, field service, and energy management—making it a strong stepping stone for a future career in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical services in the areas of electrical systems, metering, power systems and energy management services
  • Install, test, and commission retail and wholesale metering systems
  • Complete all types of maintenance work on retail and wholesale metering installations
  • Able to manage projects with minimal supervision to completion
  • Perform design, configuration, installation, and on-site configuration and maintenance of metering, SCADA and energy management systems, including hardware, software, communications and end-user training
  • Enforce safe work procedures are followed at all times
  • Maintain client communications, safety and work documentation
  • Ensure Rodan meets compliance and reporting requirements of federal, provincial and local regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a related technical field (e.g. electrical engineering, electrical technician/technologist) or other relevant work experience
  • Completed or working towards Journeyperson Meter Technician Certification or equivalent
  • Background in electrical power distribution, metering, protection and control or electrical systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively complete tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
  • A valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s License, driver’s insurance and an excellent driving record
  • Knowledge of and experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office
  • First Aid & CPR certificates and knowledge of EUSA and the OHSA are assets
