ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Inspect and maintain all emergency response, fire prevention, and life safety devices.
  • Conduct daily checks of Carbon Dioxide and sprinkler rinse systems.
  • Complete fires safety audits and report concerns.
  • Identify, investigate and report fire/safety hazards.
  • Maintain operational knowledge and understanding of sprinkler system mechanics.
  • Ensure fire extinguishing equipment is readily accessible.
  • Respond on foot or via Emergency Response Vehicle to fire and medical emergencies.
  • Administer First Aid and provide patient care as required.
  • Provide appropriate action and coordinate scene control of emergencies.
  • Identify classes of fires and apply appropriate use of extinguisher equipment.
  • Identify and investigate reports of alarm signals from transponders and panels.
  • Understand and maintain operational knowledge of Hot Work Standards and polices.
  • Ensure all hot-work related equipment, compressed gas cylinders and fire extinguishers comply with site policies and procedures.
  • Issue Hot Work Permits and monitor all hot work activity to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly training to maintain competency levels.
  • Test emergency response and participate in training simulations.
  • Provide general security support as required.
  • Mentor as provide training assistance to new FPI’s.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong ability to display clear and quick thinking to resolve problems and remain calm under pressure during stressful situations.
  • Ability to work within a team to carry out firefighting and rescue duties.
  • Ability to successfully pass annual FPI Medical Questionnaire.
  • Must successfully pass SCBA Fit Testing.
  • Completion of approved Certified Fire Inspector (CFI) course that meets the standards of NFPA 1031 or achieved within one (1) year of hire.
  • Ability to complete all site required training as required.

May perform duties of Security Guard within scope of assignment.Distinguishing Characteristics:Supervises company personnel, including assigning work, coaching, and discipline, as defined by client contract.Responsibilities:1. Functions as a supervisor of Security Guards, Lead Guards and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s); acts to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that adequate reports are filed; notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations.2. Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; seeks advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate; meets personally with employees and documents coaching and disciplinary actions.3. Trains Security Guards and other company personnel; reviews post orders and other details of assignments with subordinates.4. Assists in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company as designated.5. In conjunction with company management or designated representatives ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions.6. Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.7. Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.Qualifications:

  • Security Supervisor experience (2.5 yrs minimum)
  • Experience writing post order is required.
  • Experience scheduling guards would be preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Post Secondary education in a related field is an asset.

Candidates applying for this role need to have G/G2 driver’s license and access to own vehicle.We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified people to apply.The posting will remain open until filled.Position Overview:Wages: $ 18.25Shift timings: Monday to Sunday (Morning, Afternoon and Night-hours are subject to change)RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform access control provision duties, verify visitors coming on-site and parking enforcement. Dispatch duties via radio communication accepting all radio calls.
  • Filling Access logs
  • Assigning keys to contractors.
  • Must be willing to be trained on all positions and work all positions
  • Traffic Management and regular patrols.
  • Any other duties requested by Securitas.
  • Investigate incidents of trespassers along fence perimeters and property. Deter trespassers from the property.
  • Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
  • Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.
  • Perform foot patrols inside and outside the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Ontario Security License
  • G/G2 driver’s license and access to own vehicle.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
