Job description: Job Description:Join our TeamAt this time, Ericsson Canada Inc. does not provide immigration assistance/sponsorship now or in the future for this position.Location: Ottawa, ONAbout this opportunityWe are currently seeking to fill a position for an entry level (New Graduate) Verification and Troubleshooting Specialist.The Customer Issue Investigation Group (CIIG) conducts, as a part of the Radio Products Canada Verification Certification organization, detailed investigations into customer reported issues for Indoor, Remote and Massive MIMO radio products covering 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G technologies. We are a highly collaborative team and often work with other local and global development organizations to support troubleshooting and helping to deliver solutions for reported issues.What you will do
- Setup nodal and module level test environments to replicate customer field conditions
- Execute testing on lab systems (nodal and module) to reproduce customer reported radio issues
- Conduct detailed hardware and software investigations on Ericsson’s wireless radio equipment
- Draft reports covering customer network deployment architectures and site environments
- Collaborate with Customer Engagement & Support, Radio HW, SW, Systems Design and Verification/Certification teams to work through troubleshooting of issues
- Support investigation of issues reported from early customer trials of new Radio products and features
- Compile RCA reports and deliver presentations of investigation findings
- Contribute to the overall success of the CIIG team objectives and goals
You will bring
- Education: BSc level in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent work experience in related discipline
- Minimum 1 year lab experience in connecting and configuring Ericsson basebands, radios and test equipment
- Experience with MOShell, Python, Linux/Unix, and Windows Applications
- Experience with RF measurement instruments such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators and power meters
- Good understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G wireless technologies
- Experience in delivering presentations and status to key stakeholders
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Good time management, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience in use of artificial intelligence models and machine learning is considered an asset
Salary Range:
- Bachelor: 84,000CAD annual
- Master: 93,000CAD annual
Hiring Bonus:
- Bachelor: 8,500 CAD
- Master: 11,500CAD
