Job Description
As part of the MLSE Foundation Sport Development team, you will assist with planning and executing MLSE’s core summer camps, partner events, and support a team of hourly staff. You will be working with a team that prides itself on creating the absolute best experience for the participants in our programs. You will gain first-hand experience creating a positive environment and building lifelong memories with the goal of continuing to grow our dedicated fanbase.
MLSE’s Internship term dates are from May 6th, 2024 to August 30th, 2024

  • Act as the day-to-day contact for Sport Development programming.
  • Collaborate across departments for program integration (sponsorship, tickets, research & development, equity, diversity & inclusion, etc.)
  • Build relationships and strong communication channels with parents and the broader sport community.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of our Sport Development Summer Camp programs such as Hockey School, Basketball Academy, Soccer Camp along with our Corporate & Community Partner events and NHL, MLS & NBA mandated events.
  • Support MLSE Foundation & MLSE Launchpad events.
  • Assist with managing our social and web presence.
  • Assist MLSE Foundation and MLSE Launchpad colleagues with sport initiatives as required.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution with a focus on Business / Commerce, Marketing, Strategy, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience creating and delivering a youth camp or day program.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to think critically while leveraging curiosity and creativity.
  • Team first, positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • You are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
