  • You’ll work directly with multidisciplinary teams of Project Managers, Engineers, Planners, Designers, Analysts, sub-consultants, and other staff as required
  • You’ll support the development of initial project teaming agreements and strategizing of key commercial terms and conditions
  • You’ll review proposed project agreements and support the identification of scope and required deliverables for WSP and partnering subconsultants
  • You’ll support the development and approval process for as-sold budgets and work breakdown structures used to manage and track commercial performance during project execution
  • You’ll coordinate with in-house insurance teams for the procurement and approval of project-specific insurance policies and other insurance coverage required by contract
  • You’ll support the development and execution of contracts with WSP’s major project clients and partnering subconsultants, including back-end exhibits for scoping exclusions, contract milestones, progress payment and change mechanisms, and insurance requirements
  • You’ll support change management processes during project execution, including proactively identifying deviations from agreed-to scope, developing change narratives and justification, assessing and quantifying schedule and cost impacts, compiling final change packages, and maintenance of project change logs
  • You’ll, in conjunction with Project Controls teams, manage the financial health of the project, including accurate reporting of both schedule and cost performance and proactively identifying and controlling unplanned variances
  • You’ll organize billing drafts, compiling monthly invoices, and following up for approval and payment, managing sub-consultant receivables
  • You’ll provide project teams and stakeholders with interpretation and clarification of contract and scope requirements and interfacing with in-house legal counsel where required

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • You bring 3-6 years of relevant project and financial coordination experience
  • You have a post-secondary diploma or undergraduate degree (project management, construction management, engineering, finance, or business) is an asset
  • You bring previous relevant experience in engineering consulting or construction
  • You will be bringing stakeholder and client management capabilities to the table
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, including report and contract writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of company BIM standards, including but not limited to:
  • Data Management strategies
  • Model and Graphic Standards
  • Drawing Presentation and Model Quality
  • BIM Execution Plan, LOD, and other BIM related documents

  • Act in a Subject Matter Expert capacity to manage the Project BIM Team at all design stages, from Schematic Design through to Construction, and into Facilities Management as required.

  • Internal and external teams

  • Attend and host BIM / Digital meetings.
  • Ensure general and project specific BIM processes and workflows are communicated to the design team members, and that those processes and workflows are adhered to throughout the project life cycle.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and other personnel to incorporate concepts and data into model and drawing packages; actively promote the usage of automation on BIM projects.

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

  • 15 years of experience in BIM / Digital Project Delivery and coordination within the AEC industry, including Construction Administration.
  • Technical College Diploma or University degree in Structural / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Architectural considered an asset.
  • Training in BIM Management is strongly recommended.
  • Experience in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (including ACC Build) is required.
  • Familiarity in Dynamo, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Point Clouds and Reality Capture is strongly recommended.
  • Strong understanding of the interoperability between Revit and other discipline-specific software programs and tools.
  • Understanding of ISO 19650 and other relevant industry BIM standards and classifications.
  • Project set-up experience including the CDE, design models, and the preparation of construction documents in Revit while ensuring company BIM standards are adhered to.
  • Experience in 3D design and multi-discipline coordination, managing models and facilitating data exchanges.
  • Detailed understanding of data-rich modeling, asset management, and digital twins.
  • Experience with information management requirements and translating them to complex and advanced digital deliverables.
  • Ability to interact with external entities (clients, owners, agencies) to interpret and understand desired BIM, Digital Delivery, and Data requirements.
