Join us on our journey to build a sustainable future, together.About the JobToday we have an opening for a Driver/Operator as part of the Woodington Systems Inc. team. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and Operations Manager, you will start the day at one of the pre-designated Woodington Systems Inc. terminals located in Niagara and Burlington, hauling waste, recycling, organics and/or biosolids for divisions of Walker Industries. The hours of operation for Woodington Systems Inc. are 24 hrs a day. This is a unionized, hourly position. We offer a rate of $31.06 per hour, and after a 3-month probation period, full benefits and pension plan. Your uniform will be provided.What You’ll Be Doing
- Pre and post vehicle inspection of truck and trailer
- Operating tractor and trailer vehicles with open top roof and electric tarp
- Operating tractor and trailer of dump style trailer of organics and bio solids.
- Operating tractor and trailer of both walking floor design and tipper design trailer
- Operating remote control to open/close convertible style top trailers.
- Operating compactor trailer, open/close back door of trailer
- Servicing customers on time, efficiently and thoroughly
- Maintaining accurate hours of service and vehicle inspection paperwork to include e-logs.
Here’s What You Need
- Valid AZ Driver’s License
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Fast card approved
- Diligent attention to paperwork/e-logs, safety and the environment
- Knowledge of waste handling equipment (walking floor trailers, dump trailers, etc)
- Effective written and oral communication skills (ability to speak, read and write English)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Transportation regulations
