Desjardins is seeking a full-time Life Insurance Representative to join their team in Kingston, Ontario. They are looking for someone who is currently a licensed advisor or team member in the life insurance industry and is seeking a change to a new environment.
Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Medical Billing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing medical bills and claims, as well as communicating with insurance companies and patients to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.

Responsibilities:
– Reviewing and processing medical bills and claims
– Verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations
– Following up on unpaid or denied claims
– Resolving billing discrepancies and issues
– Communicating with insurance companies and patients regarding claims status and payment
– Maintaining accurate and detailed billing records
– Adhering to all billing and coding regulations and guidelines

Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing
– Knowledge of medical billing and coding practices
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and billing software
