Hiring Rate: $16.55 Hourly
35 hours weekly
Hours of employment are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Non Bargaining Unit PositionWe are an essential service and the incumbent will be required to be at the office and in the community. Personal protective equipment and COVID-19 protocols are in place as per Public Health guidelines. * POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative:

  • Answer and respond to telephone calls in a courteous manner; retrieve messages from voice mail and redirect as necessary for dissemination of information required by workers and management;
  • Ensure incoming communications such as generally addressed department mail, and incoming cheque requests are completed in full for correct forwarding;
  • Filing of confidential payment records in appropriate folders and drawers;
  • Creation of documents for the amalgamating department including new procedural lists, manuals;
  • Participation in supervisory sessions with the designated Finance staff member.

Yardi Work Order/Purchase Order System:

  • Entering tenant rent information data, and processing, using Microsoft Office Suite, and Yardi I.S.;
  • Receipt and confirmation of rent payments; and enter data into the property/finance YARDI Voyager Information System;

Financial:

  • Preparation of statistics and reports related to rent, housing and support costs, using Excel and Word. Understanding of pivot tables and mail merge are assets;
  • Assist Financial Analysts meet regular deadlines for monthly reports, processing payment requests. Payees include provincial ministries and agencies with strict deadlines and reporting formats;
  • Update and maintain accuracy of journal entries; and reports to funders, e.g. LHIN & MMAH through City
  • ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Understanding of Human Resources policies:

  • Completion of safety orientation training as delivered during orientation.
  • Strict adherence to all safety procedures.
  • Mandatory daily health screening.
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.

3. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed accounting-related studies to support bookkeeping, journal entry and filing of documents for A/P and A/R functions.
