Job Description
Health and Safety Specialist
Location: Edmonton, AB
We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and managing safety programs, conducting audits and inspections, and providing training to employees on safety procedures. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop, implement, and manage health and safety programs
– Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
– Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols
– Investigate accidents and incidents, and develop corrective action plans
– Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards
– Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety policies and procedures
– Monitor and report on safety performance and trends
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
– Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g. CRSP, NCSO) is an asset
– 3+ years of experience in health and safety management
– Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
