Job Summary

Job Description:


What will you work on?

The Media & Digital Marketing Manager will focus on driving big-idea thinking through highly effective media tactics, planning, execution, analysis and optimization across multiple media touchpoints (with a strong focus on traditional media and cross-screen brand activations).

They will determine the optimal media mix to effectively reach our consumer and drive sales results. The successful candidate is a strong representative of our media strategy, has the ability to deliver media plans and provide recommendations and solutions that support our brand objectives and ultimately business growth.


How will you create impact?

  • Determining the media strategy and optimal channel mix, including planning principles/guidelines across TV, digital, cross-screen, OTT, DRTV etc for over 30 brands annually

  • Drive subject matter expertise by staying current on trends across evolving digital/emerging media channels and related technologies

  • Builds relationships with Sales, Market Analytics, Account Management, Global Business Units and Creative teams and provides guidance on media best practices

  • Staying up to date on media trends, ensuring Spin Master remains at the forefront of change and innovation in the media landscape

  • Agency management: includes pushing for greater engagement, efficiencies, thought leadership, agency evaluations, process & strategy development

  • Participates directly in the presentation of marketing plans and/or in the discussion of media problems with brands, as required

  • Maintaining relationships with key network and media partners (Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network, Google, Facebook etc…)

  • Providing competitive deep dives and ratings analyses when requested

  • Audience insights analysis – being an expert on Kids’ media, consumption behavior changes and updates in the media landscape

  • Development and execution of test and learn opportunities with clear and concise objectives and share actionable results

  • Maintains, tracks and keep source of market and media information, including market research, competitive reports and other media financials as required


How will you fit into the team?

  • Extremely strong presentation skills (Both designing presentation decks and presenting)

  • Detail oriented with exceptional organization & problem-solving skills

  • Track record of developing and planning campaigns that extend cross-screen across linear TV, OTT, VOD, YouTube, social, web and mobile etc.

  • Understanding of and past experience using media planning tools as well as digital analytical tools for social listening, ad tracking, website analytics, and app statistics (e.g., Google Analytics, comScore, Kantar etc)

  • Must be passionate about emerging media trends and technology and be an early adopter of change.


What are your skills and experience?

  • University Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field

  • 1-3+ yrs experience in media planning and buying, digital marketing and/or advertising including execution and the evaluation of effectiveness of media campaigns that drive strong ROAS.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-pace environment managing multiple brands and internal stakeholders

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to identity useful insights and make fact-based decisions, recommendations and changes to live in-market media plans

  • Growth mindset and a passion for learning and keeping up with trends at both a macro and micro level (cross screen, media, digital and social media landscapes)

Your Mission:

Achieve clients’ goals by maximizing digital and social media campaign RoAS using strategic testing, analytics and insights.

Role Competencies:

  • Support other digital marketing analytics, including social listening and research for blog posts

Core Qualifications:

  • Client-facing digital advertising campaigns on a range of platforms, including programmatic management platforms and social media advertising platforms (agency background preferred)
  • Experience managing $100k-1M+ ad spend budgets (per year)
  • 2+ years of experience creating and managing Paid Media campaigns that exceed client expectations across paid media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube ads.
  • 2+ years of experience with Google Analytics
  • Experienced in developing an A/B testing plan for paid campaigns
  • Experienced in managing and optimizing campaigns directly using paid platforms (e.g., Facebook Business Manager), from strategy development to conversion tracking setup to day-to-day execution to deriving insight from the data
  • Experienced in using Excel and Powerpoint to present Paid Media strategies and campaign reports for clients and sharing with clients in a results-focused, compelling way
  • Experienced in working with a cross-functional team to develop strong client campaigns and strategies
