As the Senior Manager, Digital Product Marketing, you will be accountable for go-to-market and new product launch planning and execution for products produced by Scotiabank’s Digital Business Unit. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert responsible for understanding customer needs and buying criteria for digital banking products, developing enablement assets and tools to transfer that knowledge to internal partners in support of marketing and sales programs.

  • Align closely with members of the product management team to facilitate the appropriate flow of information between the Product Management team and Digital Marketing.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate competitive analysis in order to better understand the relative positioning of Scotiabank’s digital products, leverage the analysis to construct strategic product positioning, and communicate analysis to internal partners.
  • Manage Digital Adoption budget
  • Create end-to-end omnichannel marketing campaigns for new features, which involves creating the GTM strategy and creative brief and working with the creative team to develop assets and deploying to various offline/online channels where appropriate.
  • Manage monthly feature release assets such as release notes, app store imagery, my dates and mobile onboarding screen campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Digital Citizenship team on joint initiatives.
  • Work with Customer Experience team to continuously keep Bank Your Way up-to-date.
  • Manage digital product marketing calendar.
  • Develop and continuously enhance an expertise of Scotiabank’s digital products and services in order to construct and convey use case scenarios.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate competitive analysis in order to better understand the relative positioning of Scotiabank’s digital products, leverage the analysis to construct strategic product positioning, and communicate analysis to internal partners.
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners to educate them on ways to concisely demonstrate the features and benefits of digital products to both existing and prospective customers, and ensure that appropriate product themes are communicated to the market.
  • Assist with completion of annual Forrester survey
  • Manage program level retail projects on an ad-hoc basis as it relates to digital marketing.
  • Manage and coach a direct report.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • You have 5 or more years’ experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Competitive Analysis or IT Marketing
  • You have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are required
  • You’re experienced with Product Management and/or Product Marketing principles such as Practical Product Management or Pragmatic Marketing
  • You are a self-starter, able to work autonomously and with minimal supervision in a high-pressure environment
  • You have the ability to manage multiple deadline-driven tasks and projects concurrently
  • Your interpersonal skills are strong, with the ability to work in matrixed organizations
  • You are process-oriented and driven to achieve strategic goals
  • You have the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize effectively
  • You can “roll up your sleeves”. You have a self-starting orientation with the intense drive to “make things happen”
