A critical role in the company, the successful candidate will provide leadership and support for all operational activities.As Operations Manager, you will:

  • Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager supports the company’s daily catering activities, liaising with all departments as required to ensure every team member has what they need to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • A detail-oriented individual, the Operations Manager oversees and is responsible for ensuring issues with dispatch, food preparation, packing, delivery, and order fulfillment are resolved in a timely, calm and orderly fashion.
  • Enforce performance standards and expectations
  • Conduct training support to new team members on policies and procedures
  • Provide staff with a means to escalate issues through the decision-making process
  • Problem solve any issues that arise throughout the day
  • Order paper products, beverages, and other goods for the week
  • Source new products as required
  • Provide support to the dispatchers to assist with packing and problem solving
  • Minimize errors that occur during the rushes by supporting staff and stepping in as needed
  • Liaise with appropriate kitchen departments for missing food items
  • Run errands as required
  • Carry out tasks assigned by the General Manager and delegate as necessary
  • Ensure all notes and changes are properly relayed to the appropriate person (ie.- items missed, updates to addresses, etc.)
  • Ensure the Operations area maintains a cleanly atmosphere
  • Delivering orders or food items, as needed
  • Provide support to the General Manager for procedural matters
  • Contribute towards success of each day by monitoring all the ins and outs of the day
  • Forecast busy days or seasons and ensure that there are the proper amount of resources available
  • Assist with scheduling, taking into consideration team members availability, strengths; as well as types of orders, as needed
  • Complete event books for catered events
  • Attend weekly Production Meetings
  • Deliver disciplinary action as directed by the General Manager
  • Communicate successes and failures of the day to the General Manager
