Our vision is to become the #1 retail brand in Canada and we are focused on innovating and making important investments in our business, especially when it comes to our people. To reach our goal, we need the best talent to help us evolve and drive change across the business – and boldly help shape Canada’s retail industry. As we strive to be at the forefront of a complex and vastly changing retail industry, it is an exciting time to join the Canadian Tire family of companies.

The Consumer Brands (CBD) division within the Canadian Tire Family of companies is dedicated to bringing an unprecedented value proposition to customers in Canada and abroad. As an organization leading one of the largest, and fastest growing portfolio of brands in Canada, we are relentlessly focused on innovating at every level of our business, expanding and continually evolving our owned brands assets and doubling down on the best talent to drive the company forward. It is an especially exciting time to join the Canadian Tire Family of Companies.

The GTM Manager role is a newly developed position dedicated to supporting the Forward with Design brand, one of the most unique and innovative assets in the portfolio of owned brands managed by the Consumer Brands Division. Founded in 2019, Forward With Design is a direct-to-consumer, high-performance and fashion forward lifestyle brand with roots in the athleisure and wellness space. Our mission is to change the active lifestyle landscape by fusing style, practicality and functionality into solutions for the “active nomad”.

The Forward With Design team is a close group of disruptors, trailblazers, innovators and problem solvers who work together with a shared goal and vision. As a small and nimble team, we are fortunate to have the support of a large organization while still maintaining our start-up mentality.

A Forward With Design team member needs to have a strong ability to adapt and multitask as every day can be different in the FWD world. The active lifestyle world is ever evolving and our goal at Forward With Design is to constantly stay one step ahead of the game.

This is an exciting all-encompassing opportunity with wide exposure to varied cross functional internal teams and processes. The role requires an experienced professional with a passion for brand strategy and marketing who can identify consumer needs and market opportunities, build a program from scratch, and implement the right the tactics to bring the program goals to market. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of brand development and annual planning, marketing strategy, excellent communications skills, proven audience growth, and life cycle marketing experience, preferably earned in the fashion, wellness or beauty industry.

On a day-to-day basis as the GTM manager you will be engaged in setting the strategic vision for the brand, connecting that strategic vision to operational reality, determining if an idea is commercially viable, and then incubating & launching successful ideas in partnership with the broader organization. To succeed in this role, you will not only work effectively with the various departments at CTC, but also with external agencies and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outstanding communicators with strong presentation skills and an ability to adjust style and format as required to suit the audience
  • Multitaskers able to tackle multiple projects with varying scope and project teams simultaneously
