You will be responsible for submitting SOCAN member concert details to the BMI Live portal, as well as aid in refining the current process. In addition, you will provide support for other key live performance initiatives at SOCAN, including Major Live Performance tracking for top members, foreign concert submissions to other territories, and providing support to the Concerts team in processing domestic concerts should time allow.WHAT YOU’LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Submission of US concert performances by SOCAN Members to BMI Live Portal.
  • Assist the International Relations team in identifying, documenting, and tracking the royalties for concert tours by our top members.
  • Review and ensure the quality of concert performance details provided by SOCAN members prior to bulk submission to foreign performing rights organizations.
  • Aid in documenting the concert licensing rates and distribution policies at foreign performing rights organizations.
  • As needed, provide back up support for Canadian performances to the SOCAN Concerts team.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Graduated / Enrolled in a Music Business Program or related programs
  • Experience with MS Suite, specifically with Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfortable working with data.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective research skills and ability to identify useful information.
