- Process Insurance deal transactions for new policies, renewals, endorsements and cancellations in EPIC (our Broker Management System)
- Calculate and verify broker commissions to be paid out
- Ownership of Billing and Cash Collection process
- Correspond with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers and our partners, to resolve deal related issues
- Become an expert in our Broker Management System to support the broader finance team
- Assist finance team with journal entries, reconciliations (i.e. bank, commission, and billing), trust account management, payables, and other ad hoc duties as necessary
- Assist in operational and administrative tasks for the Insurance brokerage, such as coordinating payment schedules and other ad hoc tasks, as they arise
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of experience working in a Customer Service and/or Admin role is an asset – preferably in finance or insurance
- Detail oriented – obsessed with accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote/hybrid environment
- Quick learner and adaptable in a changing and rapidly growth environment
- Experience with EPIC or other insurance industry software is an asset

What you will bring to this role
Enrolled in post-secondary education and pursuing a business/commerce degree with a specialisation in finance
An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
Progression toward a finance or accounting designation
Relevant work experience in professional services – accounting, commercial banking, or investment banking would be an asset
