  • Preliminary and detailed contract administration, and field reviews for projects under construction;
  • Ability to work under supervision; effective time management and strong organizational skills; Ability to work with Project Managers and Technical staff located in offices across WSP;

Qualifications:What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • An undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university;
  • Eligible for EIT designation with Professional Engineers Ontario
  • 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in the design of land development infrastructure projects, is preferred
  • Knowledgeable in the design of sanitary and storm sewer systems, water distribution system and design of roads and parking lots an asset;
  • Familiarity with City of Ottawa Sewer and Water Design Guidelines and site plan control application approval process and requirements an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, including teamwork and interpersonal abilities;

About the Design TeamWe’re a tight-knit team of product designers, researchers, and content designers working closely with engineers and product managers to research, explore, and iterate on well-crafted user experiences that are innovative, engaging, and delightful. We collaborate regularly through design critiques, work sessions, and presentations to inspire and influence the direction of the product and company as a whole.About the RoleWe’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Customer Growth team, with a focus on web-based experiences. Along with your team, this role will be responsible for initiatives including high-impact website redesigns, experimentation, and top-of-funnel optimization.You’ll collaborate closely with partners in Product, Engineering, Marketing, SEO, Brand, and Analytics to drive business growth and elevate our web presence. You’ll bring modern design sensibilities, a sharp visual eye, and a user-first mindset to projects that shape how customers discover, trust, and choose Thumbtack.Your Responsibilities

  • Craft: Deliver high-quality, responsive designs that reflect contemporary interaction and visual design best practices – across desktop and mobile web.
  • Execution: Own the design for key in-flight projects within the Customer Growth team, focusing on upleveling high-traffic web experiences and optimization efforts.
  • Experimentation: Identify and execute on opportunities for A/B testing and conversion improvements in collaboration with data science and engineering.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, Marketing, SEO, and Brand to translate strategy into polished user experiences.
  • Communication: Use storytelling and visuals to communicate design rationale and bring stakeholders along in your process.
  • Prototyping: Leverage prototyping tools to communicate ideas, validate hypotheses, and refine interaction flows.

  • 4+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio of consumer-facing web work.
  • Strong interaction design fundamentals paired with high-touch visual design – you can craft elegant, engaging interfaces with modern polish.
  • Expertise in responsive web design, with a strong understanding of mobile web interaction patterns.
  • Experience working with or adjacent to brand and marketing teams.
  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing, SEO, and performance-driven design strategies.
  • Demonstrated success driving growth through experimentation, A/B testing, and optimization.
  • Experience leading or contributing to large-scale website redesigns.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to tell stories and align diverse stakeholders around your ideas.
  • Experience using prototyping tools in your design workflow.

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience working with native platforms (iOS, Android).
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
