Job description: What is the Opportunity?Based in Toronto and reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications, the Content Specialist will play a vital role in the development of a variety of marketing and communications pieces, including copy for both print and web, as well as social media.What will you do?
- Research, write and edit copy for communications materials including but not limited to: project profiles, sales sheets, web copy, presentations, feature articles, and more
- Occasionally, interviewing subject matter experts for content topics
- Work with the team to produce effective content that will convert traffic to leads by understanding industry trends and client mindsets
- Conduct research to clarify content needs, requirements, and objectives while gathering insights, source materials and feedback
- Gain a solid understanding of our stakeholder needs, our service offering, and the AEC industry
- Adhere to brand guidelines and ensure all content maintains the correct voice with the end client in mind
RequirementsWhat do you need to succeed?
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a content writing profession (content creator, writer, copywriter, journalist etc.)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with experience in a client-facing role
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism and or/related field
- Strong, proven written communication skills
- Ability to effectively solve problems and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability as a quality writer and copy editor for both print and digital channels
- Solid understanding of branding and how to communicate with a specific voice
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to comfortably work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

- Experience in a professional services environment
- SEO experience
- Experience in social media content creation
- Experience with CMS software
