Join us.Job DescriptionAt AECOM, we’re on the hunt for an exceptional Safety, Health, and Environment (SH&E) Program Manager to take the helm of supporting the Program Management team within Canada Region. You will lead the development of several safety programs at various stages during Program Management Startup by developing the Program Safety requirements and protocols in collaboration with the Program Team.You will oversee compliance with safety protocols, continuously communicate and reinforce the vision and expectations, develop corrective actions, and incorporate, with client’s approval, modifications to program safety policies and protocols to drive continuous improvement of safety performance and outcomes.Project-level safety performance will guide the direction of the overall Programs. As the SHE Program Manager you will monitor safety performance and engage with project team members through various methods which may include on-site training, orientations, communications, “brown-bag” information sessions, and periodic safety audits. You will review safety incidents that occur, assess the causes and corrective actions, and provide site-specific training if needed.   • Attend Meetings and work in partnership with AECOM Program Teams (including clients)
  • Coordinate with the Program Leads to incorporate the “Safety First” expectations and requirements into bidder qualifications, tendering, specifications and contracting.
  • Deliver diverse training programs, from awareness to performance enhancement.
  • Investigate incidents and collaborate on corrective actions.
  • Analyze SH&E data to identify trends, providing insightful reports.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Occupational Health, Safety, and/or Environment or related field.
  • 8+ years of direct SH&E program management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master Degree is ideal
  • Hands-on experience in construction and/or design/engineering.
  • Expertise in and provincial OH&S laws and regulations, with US OSHA familiarity being advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to client location and project site in Peel Region.
  • Previous experience in program management.
  • Certification as a Registered Professional Engineer (PE), CRBOH Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and physical fitness for on-site visits.
