  • Contribute to implementing a Semi Automated Ground Truth System that combines multiple sensors (Camera, Lidar, GPS/IMU…), detection and localization algorithms.
  • Using Ground Truth System and Perception System, collect data to build the verification scene catalog
  • Interface and calibrate multiple sensors.
  • Evaluate and intregate together various detection algortithms.
  • Record data in real situations.
  • Develop user guides and training material on how to use the Ground Truth System from data collection to labeling/storage of data.
  • Develop visual aids and instructions for data collection to support international data collection sites
  • Present your results with the perception team.

QualificationsMust-Have:

  • Registered in the Engineering Internship/Co-op program and have completed at least your 2nd or 3rd year of studies by the start of your work term.
  • Enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechatronics at an accredited post secondary institution.
  • Available for a minimum 12 month work term.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Knowledge of perception sensors (camera, lidar, radar, etc.).
  • Agile in at least one programming language (Ideally Python or C++).
  • Willingness to drive data collection vehicles such as UTVs, tractors, trucks, cars, etc.
