RESPONSIBLE TO: Sr. Manager, Marketing and Communications – Jays Care Foundation

Jays Care is seeking a Specialist of Marketing and Communications to support Jays Care’s communications, fundraising and programming portfolios. The ideal candidate has exceptional written communication skills, digital marketing experience and is a dependable self-starter. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Marketing and Communications, the position will broadly support the development and implementation of the marketing and communications strategic and tactical plan. The position is based out of Rogers Centre on a full-time basis with 35-hour weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategic plan
  • Support the development and implementation of digital marketing plan, including management of social media accounts, creation of newsletters and supporting website updates
  • Support and execution of written content to be featured in Jays Care newsletters and on Jays Care’s website
  • Support marketing efforts for Jays Care’s MLB-leading 50/50 program
  • Support and execution of internal communications efforts
  • Support the scripting and planning of video content
  • Other administration & program duties as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years experience working in Marketing and Communications or related field
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in digital marketing
  • Willingness to work flexible hours outside of regular 9-5 schedule
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • A team player with the ability to see big picture goals of the organization and contribute to day-to-day tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite an asset
  • Experience in video production an asset
  • Understanding of and passion for the game of baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays

Overview:

The Direct Marketing & Web/App Specialist is responsible for diligently managing content on the website, optimizing website traffic, providing end-to-end project management for all web projects and all reporting and insights. They will develop customer journey maps, learning plans including A/B testing and deploy all email marketing initiatives. Working closely with MLB they will be responsible for managing the Ballpark App. This includes working with various vendors on the in-stadium fan touchpoints, creating fan engagement through games and trivia and improving the purchase experience via digital ticket access/management. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a plan that increases traffic on digital platforms
  • Oversee content, optimize, schedule and manage website
  • Manage website uploads, traffic and site changes while ensuring pages are always up-to-date
  • Act as the main point-of-contact for departments on all website requests and related projects
  • Review and management of website pixels
  • Manage email deployment, list optimization and database growth strategies
  • Use and understand website analytics to measure results and develop and recommend future strategy
  • Email automation campaign development and deployment
  • Plan and execute customer journeys
  • Conducting A/B testing, reporting and analysis
  • Manage all external vendors on Ballpark App from on boarding to implementation
