Apply today!Looking to get the most out of your upcoming internship?Hatch is seeking a High-Pressure Metallurgy Layout Technologist Student with an interest in process plant layout and equipment design for a 12-month internship starting January 2025. Reporting to the High-Pressure Metallurgy layout lead, you will support offices globally working from our Mississauga Head Office.Hatch has been serving the world’s mining and metals industry with studies, design, engineering, development of innovative technologies, and project and construction management through to commissioning and operations for both greenfield and brownfield facilities.As the mining industry faces new challenges, our focus is on innovation. Join us in helping our clients create measurable improvements to their operations throughout the entire mining lifecycle value chain.The High-Pressure Metallurgy Group is part of the Base Metals division within Hatch. - Development of 3D models of various mineral processing facilities in an integrated CAD environment.
- Design of custom fabricated mechanical equipment in a 2D and 3D environment.
- Coordinate with a multidiscipline team of technologists and engineers to advance proposed designs and layouts to completion.
- Preparation and updates to project deliverables including general arrangement drawings.
You bring to the role:
- Currently enrolled in a 3-year Engineering Technology Diploma with an accredited College.
- Strong academic record.
- Experience in 3D modeling and 2D drawing production.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Eager to learn about the work, the group and the mining industry.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Hard worker willing to work extra hours when required to meet deadlines.
- Willing to travel if required.
