This position is responsible for maintaining and growing superlative client relationships, providing strong thought leadership and driving the business with a proactive approach. Additionally, the National Client Manager is responsible for the implementation of Client aligned “go to market strategies” through our field Teams to deliver against Client KPI targets and expectations.Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to Client account management
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Ability to understand what success means to our Clients and shape a plan that delivers value add results and excellence on their business
- Attend/Lead Client meetings and be an impactful and active participant to ensure continuous alignment on Client deliverables
- Execute Client go to market strategies
- Effectively provide clear retail execution direction to the Brand Momentum Regional Leaders
- Prepare and present regularly scheduled performance updates
- Track and assess key account performance metrics to Identify challenges, opportunities and develop an effective action plan
- Review available retailer sales data to prepare plans for underperforming locations.
- Active in the field to evaluate and measure the execution of plans
- Escalates Client issues in a timely and proactive manner
- ½ day field visit bi-weekly to observe execution conditions and identify additional opportunities
- Develop, mentor and coach direct reports (when applicable)
- Assist in the hiring of staff as required
- Conflict resolution, handling complaints or emergencies that may fall outside regular business hours
- Able to travel within the North Americas when needed
Core Competencies:Hard Skills:
- Post-Secondary degree, preferably in Business
- 5+ years’ experience in an Account / Client management role
- Excellent client relationship management skills – Client-focused – must be approachable
- Strong understanding of CPG
- Driven by the achievement of client KPIs and sales metrics
- Multiple channel knowledge – Mass, Drug and Grocery (Convenience/Gas is an asset)
- Excellent leadership skills
- Ability to execute in the field and implement the Client go to market strategy
- Flawless execution of client plans
- Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to mine and review retailer sales data
- Potential oversight of team colleague including but not limited to, administrative and or client management.
