Job Description

The Paid Social Specialist is a highly organized, detail-oriented team player with strong technical aptitude in paid social platforms namely, Facebook/Instagram (required), Twitter (required), Pinterest (Asset), Snapchat (Asset).

Social Specialists are responsible for assisting the Social Supervisor or Manager in the creation and implementation of holistic paid social media plans for their brands. This individual will gather and analyze various amounts of marketing data for the clients and their competitors to determine their advertising and media needs and to ensure plans are properly executed and delivered. Plans typically include analysis and recommendations on targeting, geography, scheduling, support level, strategic executions and budget. In addition to managing the work of the Social Coordinators/Analysts they may supervise, Paid Social Specialists have day-to-day client contact and work with their counterpart Strategy and Investment teams. Success requires strong analytical skills, good consumer understanding, creativity, skill in negotiation and very strong attention to detail.


Key Responsibility:

  • Assists the Social Supervisor/Manager to develop social media plan recommendations for assigned clients that meet clients’ campaign goals and target audiences
  • Maintains regular communication of brand and team status to Supervisor/Manager
  • Develop a positive experience and relationship with clients maintaining day to day communication
  • Executes social media campaigns, and purchasing social media from the different self-serve platforms and managed services
  • Ensure that all projects assigned are executed to plan
  • Manage, analyze and optimize social media placements during campaigns
  • Collaborates with web analysts to provide campaign reporting and ROI analysis
  • Ensure that work produced with the highest level of quality and accuracy
  • Sources, compiles and provides research materials when required
  • Participates in assigned client meetings and presentations
  • Pro-actively identifies project issues/problems, assists in issue/problem resolution and provides project updates

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years’ experience in social media planning and buying
  • Facebook Blueprint and/or Certification an asset
  • Knowledge in various social media platforms and best practices in organic and paid use
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an advanced working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
  • Ability to effectively utilize media research and reporting resources
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and presentation
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Flawless attention to detail
  • Project management, problem solving and organizational skills are essential.
  • Able to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure

We are looking for a Senior Digital Advertising Strategist to join our growing team and lead strategy development and execution on key accounts.

The Senior Digital Advertising Strategist is responsible for leading account strategy, executing campaigns, and delivering high performing campaigns that hit KPI’s and performance goals. The incumbent will strategize, develop, analyze, and provide recommendations on paid advertising campaigns across a variety of platforms such as Google Shopping, Paid Search, Facebook/Instagram Ads, YouTube, and more.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead Paid Advertising campaign strategy and execution to drive impactful business results
  • Guide strategic development and approach to technical implementation and management of advertising campaigns
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and clients to create benchmarks, performance goals and KPI’s
  • Act as the subject matter expert for accounts, communicating performance with Project Managers and Clients
  • Attend client calls to review results, manage expectations, deliver recommendations and build relationships
  • Delegate tasks and work with Paid Advertising Coordinators and Specialists to execute on campaign initiatives that move the needle
  • Mentor team members, providing feedback and platform specific best practices to achieve campaign results
  • Act as Quality Control on campaign set ups, execution and optimization
  • Accountable for performance results and hitting expected KPI’s
  • Creative problem solving across a variety of areas such as technical, performance, business objectives
  • Analyze data to present strategic recommendations
  • Provide clients with valuable business insights based on campaign results via effective reports and presentations
  • Effectively communicate with Paid Media Department Leaders on account performance and process improvement
  • Assist with audits for new clients and support sales team as needed
  • Assist with identifying new and improving existing internal control systems and processes to meet delivery targets
  • Stay in the know of latest trends for digital advertising and e-Commerce tactics, sharing with the greater team and applying new tactics to accounts

Knowledge, Education & Experience Required

  • 5-7+ years working in Paid Advertising / Digital Marketing
  • A College diploma, University degree, or relevant job-related experience. We welcome highly experienced, self-taught, and self-motivated learners who express a strong passion for digital advertising.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and providing task direction / feedback
  • Demonstrative track record executing campaigns for results
  • Comfortable with client communication and leading strategy conversations
  • Experience developing multi-channel advertising strategies
  • Hands on experience managing campaigns in Facebook / Google
  • Knowledge of SEM/PPC/CPM trends
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Innovative thinker and collaborative team player
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Shopify an asset, but not required
  • Knowledge of data feeds and campaign tagging an asset, but not required
