OAKVILLE, ONTARIOOur Service Manager is a self-motivated, reliable and dynamic individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, capable of leveraging their relationship to deliver high value products and services to our customers. Responsible for quoting and execution of all OPEX (Operational Expenditure) projects in North America. Managing a team of Technical Advisors/Field Engineers to successfully execute OPEX service projects. Working with customers to generate opportunities to grow the Voith Service Business in North America. Work with key local stake holders to provide best in class service experience to Voith customer base.Primary Responsibilities and ActivitiesMain responsibilities:

  • Act as regional business development lead for all service offerings (OPEX, LTSA, CAPEX, Spares, Digital) and strengthen customer relationships and managing the regional pipeline in SalesForce.
  • Drive achievement of sales targets, including consistent monthly order intake, year-over-year growth in orders received, and operating profit improvements, with clear accountability for delivering business results
  • Represent Voith as the primary regional contact for service delivery, acting as the face of HyService during customer interactions and warranty follow-ups, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and organizational development, supporting annual sales planning, developing winning proposals, and shaping the long-term growth of the service business
  • Business Development advocate for all HyService Opportunities (OPEX, CAPEX, AUTOM/DIGITAL and SPARES)
  • Lead the strategy for growth of their service region.
  • Conduct frequent customer visits to generate growth and identify leads.
  • Strengthen customer relationships and develop new customers.
  • Drive sales and marketing of new services and products.

Other responsibilities:

  • Support to develop winning OPEX proposals working together with the Service PMr (SPMr).
  • Be the customer interface for all HyService proposals (CAPEX, OPEX, SPARES and AUTOM/DIGITAL).
  • Be the face to the customer for HyService projects in the region.
  • Support annual sales planning.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction from quotation to execution, acting as the key interface between the customer and Voith to align expectations, guide performance, and embed the customer perspective in all project activities. Take responsibility for achieving financial target KPIs (… M€ OR) and ensuring profitability of the service region.

Profile Required

  • Intrinsically motivated.
  • Service mindset
  • At least 10 years or more of experience in similar role.
  • University diploma in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven leadership track record.
  • Sales experience with proven record of closing orders.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience and technical understanding of Hydro turbines, generators and balance of plant equipment.
  • Comfortable with full accountability.
  • Good personal skills, team player.
  • Able to work in a team with remote participants.
  • Fully computer literate MS office suite.
  • SalesForce and SAP experience are an asset.
  • Up to 50% or more of travel time to various customer/project sites is required

Finish what previous summer student project and foremost establish clear guidelines for CC rolls and some unique swim rolls (big seals) when doing dynamic tests. Simple chart needed with result range needed and procedure. * FEA Simulation
Solid Works – to simulate existing specific custom head and shaft designs and apply loads under real machine conditions and\or lathe condition to check some specific stress and determined Factor of Safety rating on material. Try to setup classic equations that identifies weakness in shaft engineering design. * Customer Account projects – special upgrades\modification
To assist Project Managers with customer accounts. Internal sales, quotation, reports and review of customer paper machine roll design, implement standard upgrade design and develop new upgrades base on existing condition. * CMM Implementation
Develop and implement new procedure for Coordinate Measuring Machine Arm. This project includes training and giving support to millwrights and machinist. * Roll Centers to Digitization
Support ongoing project to digitize process between engineering and production.
Profile

  • Bachelors of Engineering Student (mechanical preferred)
  • Excellent language skills (French and English)
  • Microsoft 365 experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, OneNote and Teams)
