Vitrum Glass Group is a Vancouver-based, glass fabrication company experiencing tremendous growth. As a result, we are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team in Langley, BC.
Job Description:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our glass fabrication production team. This includes managing a team of production workers, overseeing production schedules, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
– Coordinate and supervise the activities of production workers, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
– Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet customer demand
– Ensure that all production processes meet quality control standards and compliance requirements
– Coach and train production workers, identifying areas for improvement and implementing new strategies to increase productivity and efficiency
– Maintain a safe work environment, enforcing safety policies and procedures, and investigating and resolving any safety issues
– Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance, engineering, and quality control, to optimize production processes and resolve any issues that arise
– Utilize data and metrics to track production performance and make data-driven decisions to achieve production targets
– Oversee inventory management and ordering of materials as needed
Qualifications:
– 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
– Knowledge of glass fabrication processes and equipment is an asset
– Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
– Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a focus on safety and quality
– Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
