Job Summary: The Director, Marketing anticipates and creates the strategic tools and guidance necessary to ensure that every expression of the Amica brand, whether visual or verbal, reinforce our unique brand positioning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the VP, Marketing & Communications, you will oversee brand positioning and brand identity guidelines, ensuring they are reflective of consumer insights and continue to differentiate us in the marketplace and resonate with consumers.
  • Articulation of the characteristics of Amica: its qualities, its tone, its meaning, its values.
  • Articulate marketing strategies to guide and inspire the function’s responsible for bringing Amica Senior Lifestyles to life.
  • Manage brand identity standards, update as required and ensure compliance through training and audits.
  • You will be responsible for creative and media agency selection and management.
  • Translate marketing strategies into marketing plans and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and evaluate the annual marketing plan and budget in consultation with the VP, Marketing & Communications, peers, and Sales & Marketing Leaders
  • On an ongoing basis, evaluate, assess, and adapt Brand Marketing & Communications standards relating to advertising, collateral, direct mail, photography, video, stationery, in-residence materials etc.
  • Develop campaigns and tactics to generate awareness and sales for open residences and for development properties to support lead generation, occupancy, and rate goals. For example, print, radio, digital, posters, direct mail, signage etc.
  • Implement and manage the organizations brand assets including; logos, photography, video, collateral, and advertising templates.
  • Proactively interact with Regional and Property Level Sales & Marketing teams to educate and reinforce the specifications, principles, and rationale behind Amica Marketing Communication standards and the importance of brand compliance
  • Directly support the opening of our new residences, facilitating the development of marketing materials and marketing tactics to ensure success.
  • Proactively interact with cross functional departments to support the organization with its marketing needs, specifically; development, human resources, digital, PR and operations
  • Plan, develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that build brand awareness and understanding in the marketplace with our target audiences, while driving occupancy
  • Monitor market trends, identify needs for consumer and competitive research, customer segmentation and customer insights and partner with internal and/or external resources to source research needs.
  • Measure and report performance for all marketing programs and campaigns and assess against goals.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Minimum of ten+ years of marketing experience
  • University degree in marketing, eCommerce, business, or a related field; MBA is an asset.
  • Experience in senior living, real estate and/or hospitality and/or service-related industries an asset
  • Experience managing brand assets; brand identity, standards, and audits.
  • Critical and trained eye for creative review
  • Experience devising multi-channel integrated marketing campaigns that engage, inform, motivate, and deliver results.
  • Working in matrix organizations where collaboration and cooperation are key to success.
  • Knowledge of all media forms, consumer research and related marketing communication practices and principals including brand equity measurement metrics, digital and print design/development and production practices and principals
  • Proven digital marketing and social media expertise.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing marketing team.
