Job Description
Job Title: Data Entry Clerk
Location: Calgary
Duration: 3 months
Pay Rate: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
Description:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented data entry clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inputting and managing data in our systems. The ideal candidate will have strong typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
– Input data from source documents into the computer database
– Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
– Verify entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data
– Combine and rearrange data from source documents where required
– Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
– Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
– Retrieve data and prepare reports as needed
– Keep information confidential
– Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
– Keep records of work completed
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous data entry experience preferred
– Strong typing skills
– Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
– Excellent attention to detail
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong time management and organizational skills
