Job Description :

The intern will support the IT audit team in all matters relating to the testing of IT general controls (ITGCs) carried out as part of the certification of financial statements and the Bill C-198 compliance (review of internal controls to protect investors by improving the accuracy and reliability of corporate disclosure).

Under the direct supervision of the IT audit director, the intern will be in charge of supporting the IT auditor in the execution of year end testing. As such, the intern will be trained beforehand in order to prepare him or her in the execution of part of the tests and to help him or her to document their testing spreadsheets. A first level of review of his or her work will be carried out by the IT auditor and will then be reviewed by the IT audit director. As part of his or her tests, the intern will be required to test IT controls on accesses, backups and changes to the systems retained within the scope of the C-198. Finally, the intern may assist and perform internal audit work under limited supervision of the Lead Cyber Auditor. Therefore autonomy and prior experience is favored.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Under supervision execute walkthroughs and operational effectiveness tests on IT general controls (ITGCs) in accordance with the previously determined C-198 test strategy. The testing may be addressing controls evaluation on some of the following topics.
