  • Support the business with subscriber analytics and modelling using both internal and external data
  • Summarize and present conclusions to all levels of the organization, applying a level of insight and expertise that extends beyond the numbers alone
  • Work closely with different groups within the Crave team, including Finance, Marketing, Promotions, and Partnerships, to both support and drive key initiatives to meet subscription / revenue targets
  • Prepare presentations that summarize the benefits and return on investment for key initiatives
  • Identify risks and opportunities within the market and communicate possible impacts to the business
  • Complete special projects, presentations and ad hoc reports to support Sr. Leadership decision making

Strategic Planning

  • Support and facilitate the digital transformation of Bell Media’s distribution strategy for video products by owning the business cases and financial analysis for new projects, pricing constructs, and product enhancements required to grow our business
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders in various departments such as Finance, Programming, Product, Ad-sales, Marketing, and other teams within Bell to ensure new initiatives are assessed holistically and represent the optimal path forward for BCE
  • Create presentation materials that clearly and effectively equip Bell Media’s leadership team to drive internal change at the highest levels of our organization

Reporting and Data Enhancements

  • Work alongside technological teams to champion new and enhanced reporting and dashboards that provide automated and critical insights to relevant organizational stakeholders
  • Monitor the content distribution market, including offerings from other distributors

Critical Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Finance
  • Superior analytical skills combined with the ability to construct/deconstruct complex financial proposals

Rogers Sports and Media is looking for an innovative, creative and engaging leader to join the Sportsnet team reporting to the VP, Business Operations and Affairs. As we expand our presence in the DTC space this role will support our existing efforts and drive Sportsnet to the leading edge of Sports streaming.

The Director is a leader who is passionate about Sports Media and committed to entertaining and informing audiences through brilliant content and innovative digital experiences. If that sounds like you, keep reading.

What you’ll be doing:
– Business owner for all things Sportsnet Now and NHL Live, accountable for subscriber, revenue and FCF growth
– Oversee the Growth strategy and accountable for establishing and delivering KPIs across the customer journey from awareness to retention
– Leadership of Customer Experience and accountable for Customer Support, building processes and the structure to support customers as we scale the DTC businesses
– Thought leader on DTC strategy identifying short term needs but with a lens to medium-long term industry dynamics
– Translate strategy to into business specific roadmaps and operational plans, identify resources required and build business for scale
– Leadership role in a cross functional capacity working collaboratively with (but not limited to) Product, Marketing, Distribution, Finance, Legal, HR
– Clarify priorities and drive short-term projects and commitments, as well as establish and maintain clear chains of product management and accountability

Strategy and Planning:
– Problem Solving – Shape the analysis and outline key steps required to resolve specific issues
– Effectively communicate strategies and plans to various stakeholders including senior leadership and other areas of the organization

Talent Development:
– Drive and grow a highly engaged and effective team
– Recruit and invest in / develop top talent within and outside Rogers to increase team bench strength
– Coach, mentor, and develop your team and ensure they have the resources, tools, and processes to be successful in their jobs
– Help drive engagement across the cross functional DTC teams

– Proven leader able to build, manage and motivate high performing teams
– Sports fandom and a healthy obsession with social media and fan engagement
– No fear of failing and failing fast in order to ensure we are constantly innovating our approaches
– A desire to connect sports fans to new content and new ways of engaging around the sports they love
– Passion and belief in the power of analytics to drive better decision making
– Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with both internal and external clients
– Demonstrated history of success in bringing a product to market

– Proven success in senior product management roles
– Ability to navigate large organizations to optimize for speed

– Bachelor degree in a related field, with MBA or other graduate degree strongly preferred
