  • Data management, database schema definition and management, data visualizations.
  • User interface development, development of code/programs to automate workflows.
  • Understanding of spatial data structures (including 3D).
  • Development of web platforms, requirement gathering and process mapping.
  • Possible exposure to emerging technologies (i.e., AI, ML, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality) and their applicability to the Engineering domain in tandem with Geospatial technology.

  • Student studying in areas such as GIS/Spatial Analysis, Computer Science, Software Development and Information Technology or similar fields
  • Technical expertise in using GIS
  • Solid grasp of data management
  • Curiosity about using GIS for programming, software development and visualization
  • Analytical capabilities, including use of ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS packages such as Network, Spatial and/or 3D Analyst
  • Authoring code for the automation of processes and workflows, particularly with knowledge of Python libraries such as arcpy
  • Ability to define and build database schemas and relationships, with specific experience using ESRI ArcSDE
  • Curiosity about the development and implementation of web GIS software using ArcGIS Enterprise and Portal
  • Documenting workflows, crafting standardized process documentation, and writing data processes
  • Curiosity about engineering standards and practices
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future

Preferred:

  • Experience with FME Desktop and/or server for similar automation
  • Understanding of spatial data types and structures, including an interest in spatial data collection in engineering
  • Digital interest in learning new data and automation software packages such as PowerBI and Power Automate

The role of the Assistant Manager, Digital Sales Solutions will focus on delivering the operational foundation for high-value, omni-channel consumer experiences to the Retail channel, establishing the platform to grow the Global digital strategy in Canada through implementation of RFID, Digital Consumer & Staff experiences and functionality, integration and continuous improvement, and Digital sales fulfillment through Omnichannel capabilities. The individual will also be the primary business owner for RFID at Retail in Canada. This role will assist with ensuring timelines, budgets, milestones, and communication are completed appropriately, including pre & post implementation preparation/hindsight. The individual will work with Business leaders and multiple partners globally to support and implement RFID related programs in Canada. This person will own and manage the ongoing operations of RFID including reporting and managing the end-to-end improvements and enhancement backlog of RFID which includes rollout of all new solutions and integrations with other systems.

Key Accountabilities:

Drive sales & profit

Deliver digital sales tools & experiences to stores, including their configuration, staff training and back-office enablement.

Manage the back end of Omnichannel sales capabilities, beginning with RFID, Ship-From-Store, Click and Collect and Endless Aisle, etc.

Balance demand versus capacity for omnichannel fulfillment in Retail stores, acting in response to the needs of the business to maximize sell-through and consumer satisfaction.

Grow sales through a service culture

Fully grounded in the Connect Engage Inspire Service model and Every Moment Matters toolset and understand how they enable service in our Retail environments.

Integrate with the Retail Operations and Field Leadership to ensure digital is incorporated seamlessly into the daily rhythm of the stores.

Report regularly to the Retail & Digital teams on the performance of digital sales initiatives, including insights on execution and opportunities for improvement.

Deliver flawless execution

Responsible for monitoring the performance, development, health, and maintenance of RFID and Digital Tool implementation & communication plans related to omni-Retail initiatives, ensuring execution in coordination with Business Leaders.

Serve as the business owner of RFID which includes the ongoing operations of the system and hardware solution.

Identify opportunities for improvement in process, training, and tools to generate solutions that will enhance consumer experience, grow profitability, or improve efficiency.

Actively engage with NAM and Global partners to ensure that the Canadian market is always aligned to best practices.

Deliver brand & product experiences

Act as the advocate for digital service offerings in the go-to-market (GTM) process, enhancing the value of product launches, seasonal blockbusters, new retail/digital concepts.

Deliver new, incremental functionality to the channels in partnership with the Business Development Team, and act as the Canadian advocate for enhancements to existing platforms.

Consult with Marketing, Merchandising and Store Operations to shape the execution of consumer engagement activations, promotions, and projects.

Promote people growth & development

A subject matter expert and mentor to the Retail Team for digital and Omnichannel topics.

An ambassador and advocate for Retail among local and Global digital teams.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of retail process, consumer experience and end-to-end operations

Technical understanding of ecommerce technologies, enterprise applications and end-to-end process management

Holistic overview of the consumer journey

Ability to quickly adapt to changing business processes and business partners.

Strong decision making, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and oral. Comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely.
