FUJIFILM VisualSonics Inc. is based in Toronto, Canada.Summary:Under the direction of the QAT team, the Quality Assurance (QA) Assistant will be responsible for supporting the development of testing protocols and validating new ultrasound imaging techniques and features. This position will work with many different engineering and application groups to understand ultrasound technology, how the customer uses the technology, and how to validate pre-clinical and clinical ultrasound systems.Key responsibilities include developing testing protocols, performing validation tests for software releases, and creation of automated test scripts.Essential Job Functions:

  • Work with other QA team members, as well as applications and product management to understand typical customer workflow and generate appropriate test procedures.
  • Assist in creating / updating testing protocols to validate new ultrasound imaging techniques and features.
  • Assist in validation and verification activities for the imaging and analysis software.
  • Assist in the creation of automated test scripts.
  • Work effectively in collaboration with staff across the organization.
  • Other duties as directed by Engineering Ultrasound Systems Developer or Management.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • In-process of completing, or just completed, a post-secondary degree in engineering.
  • Familiarity with ultrasound systems, transducers, or medical devices an asset.
  • Familiarity with C# is an asset.

  • In a timely fashion, report any variances from the target completion date of the tasks, or that the tasks cannot be completed.
  • Analyze results and defect data to identify problematic areas.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • In-process of completing, or just completed, a post-secondary degree in engineering (electrical/biomedical), computer science, physics or a related discipline would be desirable.
  • Familiarity with programming design and algorithm.
  • Familiarity with signal processing is an asset.
  • Familiarity with ultrasound systems, transducers or medical devices an asset.
  • Familiarity with C++ is an asset.
  • Familiarity with the Matlab, and Microsoft family of products (Word / Excel).

  • Work cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines (Electrical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, Silicon Engineering & Software Engineering)

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Enrolled in an academic program working toward a Mechanical Engineering degree or related discipline
  • Familiar with CAD Software, preferably SolidWorks
  • Familiarity with machine shop tools and procedures an asset
