Our Markham office is looking forward to a busy summer, and we need your help to complete our exciting portfolio of projects, we have a specific municipal infrastructure project throughout the City of Hamilton that need full time field assessment, and you will play a vital role in that work. Our team offers an excellent opportunity for growth and learning due to our open space, medium size, and an environment that fosters learning and growth.Role accountabilities
- Field assessment of existing streetlight poles throughout the City of Hamilton, with tasks including:
o Visual assessment of streetlight poles using the City’s existing methodology and inspection template
o Completion of data records directly on mobile devices through ArcGIS Field Maps
o Coordination with fellow project team members.QualificationsQualifications & Experience
- Currently enrolled in a Technical/Engineering program
- Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work both alone and in a team environment.
- A vehicle and valid Ontario Driver’s License – ‘G’ Class.
- A mobile phone or tablet with capability of installing ArcGIS Field Maps app.
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, and Windows.
- Ideal candidate will have local knowledge of the Hamilton area.
Field Inspection staff will be trained in using the ArcGIS Field Maps app and will be given training in completing the various inspection fields so that data is captured in a consistent manner prior to arriving on-site.All inspections will be conducted during daylight hours but field staff will be provided high visibility vests as a safety precaution.Additional InformationWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
