  • Ensure that all media plans adhere to the agency’s values, philosophies and processes.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of evaluations of digital media opportunities, digital trends and issues of interest to clients.
  • Awareness of client KPIs and objectives, ensuring that tracking is in place for check-ins as required.
  • Influence decision making by encouraging appropriate strategies and benefits of offerings to clients.
  • Identify key digital product opportunities that will benefit the clients business and integrate into day to day plans
  • Deliver digital thought leadership in partnership with Digital Strategy and Partnership Director/Sr. Director
  • Connect to the Digital Centre of Excellence and ensure action of best practices
  • Maintain connectivity to media partners to deliver high standard solutions for clients
  • Attend and participate in regular UM Digital Centre of excellence meetings. Bring client specific best practice learning to share with the Centre of Excellence.
  • Educate planning/investment team on latest digital products
  • Support in elevating investment team digital acumen
  • Provide client specific insight for new product development
  • Support the identification and development of partner and industry POV’s
  • Oversee financial digital media control, including purchase authorizations, billing and budget control reports and ensure that discrepancies are resolved in a timely fashion.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Post-Secondary education – University graduate and/or advertising/marketing College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in digital media planning and/or execution. History of developing positive on-going business relationships with a focus on client service.
  • Ability to develop and foster strong relationships and partnerships, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively apply knowledge and insights gained from research resources to digital planning.
  • Previous experience managing and developing employees.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, supporting the team, self-development, etc.
  • A solid understanding of digital media platforms including, but not limited to Facebook Business Manager, DV360, SA360
  • Solid digital technical knowledge including understanding of ad operations, DMP/CDPs and other ad tech/mar tech platforms are used to drive results for clients
  • Proficient with media research tools (e.g. Clear Decisions, Vividata, Nielsen, Comscore and Pathmatics), and media tools (e.g. Prisma).
  • Strong learning agility, with a passion for continuous development.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Independent thinker with highly developed organizational skills and a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel as required.
