Reporting to the Director of Marketing and supported by two Marketing Assistants, this position coordinates and supervises marketing-related initiatives across O&B’s portfolio – 27 unique restaurants, multiple event venues, catering operations, and corporate promotions. This is a role with numerous competing priorities, requiring exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.This position is based out of our midtown head office, near Yonge & Eglinton, with regular visits to Toronto restaurants accessible by the TTC.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and communicate detailed marketing project deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
- Supervise the creation of marketing materials, ensuring alignment with project and company goals (e.g., printed materials, web graphics, news postings, e-blasts, social media posts, contesting, prizing, PR, menus, etc.).
- Coordinate advertising campaigns and deliverables.
- Prioritize and assign projects based on company and team objectives, maintaining flexibility to accommodate urgent requests.
- Manage the marketing calendar, ensuring the timely execution of annual promotions, PR events, and key dates such as Winterlicious, Summerlicious, and the holiday gift card campaign.
- Develop work-back schedules for new initiatives, including restaurant and event space openings.
- Coordinate the day-to-day work of two Marketing Assistants.
- Review marketing operations and processes regularly to enhance efficiency and results.
- Deliver detailed reporting on project outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.
- Build strong relationships with restaurant and venue management teams, ensuring constant communication and transparency about project status.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will thrive in a high-pressure environment and possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree (business or marketing preferred).
- At least two years of experience in a marketing supervisor role.
- A proven ability to remain solution-focused under tight deadlines.
- A passion for process improvement with a track record of enhancing productivity.
- Outstanding communication skills and a hospitality-first approach to all interactions.
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills, with fanatical attention to detail.
- Creativity, curiosity, and a drive to explore innovative solutions.
- A strong sense of personal accountability and ownership over projects.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workplace, and project management platforms (e.g., Basecamp, Asana).
- The ability to maintain perspective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Diplomacy, tact, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
