What will you do?

  • Develop Marketing Cloud programs that allow Marketing stakeholders to target and communicate with clients and advisors
  • Build and edit Cloud hosted landing pages with Ampscrip and Smart Capture functionality
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Marketing Cloud Connect
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns through both targeted and automated deployments
  • Develop and QA email templates with dynamic content ensuring they render correct across defined email providers and devices
  • Utilize APIs and triggered sends to deploy email marketing programs in real-time
  • Collaborate with product owners, technical leads, and stakeholders to define, pilot, and implement new functionalities and product capabilities within Salesforce Marketing Cloud

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 3+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with SQL development and design skills
  • Understanding of CASL/CAN-SPAM/GDPR

Nice to Have

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g. Email Specialist, Developer, Consultant, and/or Administrator)
  • Experience with email design using HTML and ampscript
  • Experience with other Salesforce Clouds, such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Datorama and Evergage
  • Experience in leading complex integrated solutions including data modeling, database design, and multi-tier architectures

The role will be responsible for end-to-end solution delivery and proof-of-concept builds using new products and features within the Marketing Cloud ecosystem including Distributed Marketing, Interaction Studio and more.

This is a newly created position in a growing team of highly supportive Marketing Cloud experts and will report into the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Technology. You will manage relationships with senior partners in Marketing, Digital, and IT and deliver a high level of business performance, employee engagement, and a superior client experience.

What will you do?

  • Develop Marketing Cloud programs using Journey Builder that allow Marketing stakeholders to effectively target and communicate with clients and advisors
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Marketing Cloud Connect configurations with Sales Cloud and Financial Services Cloud
  • Utilize APIs and triggered sends to build real-time email marketing programs
  • Collaborate with product owners, technical leads, and stakeholders to define, pilot, and implement new functionalities and product capabilities within Salesforce Marketing Cloud including Distributed Marketing
  • Work on strategic implementations of preference center management using Cloud Pages and ampscript
  • Design and build integrations with external data sources into Salesforce Marketing Cloud

What will your typical day look like?

As a Digital Marketing Specialist within Deloitte’s Digital Marketing team, you’ll work closely with other developers and marketers in support of Deloitte Canada’s businesses, with a focus on Ecosystems & Alliances. You will collaborate with digital marketing teammates to learn the technology for content management, email, events and registrations, social media, data/CRM and apply the learnings by delivering digital experiences. You’ll work within an agency environment, collaboratively with other marketing functions (creative/design, marketing analytics, public relations, brand and internal communications) to plan and execute marketing campaigns in support of the business needs.


About the team

The digital marketing team is part of the Marketing Technology function as Deloitte. The team also sits within our internal agency, with public relations, brand, campaign management and internal communications – working together with field marketing and the business. The digital team is very collaborative and supportive, playing an integral role in marketing communications.


Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a web developer/designer, registration management with an interest in online marketing, social media and mobile
  • Strong coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), mostly front-end programming with some back-end integration knowledge. Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or other enterprise CMS),
  • Marketing general digital knowledge across Email marketing tools (Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot, Boostrap) or event registration tools (Cvent, Attendease, Certain, Splash) or Adobe products (Analytics, Audience Manager, Target) or Social Media tools (Sprinklr, Sysomos)
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or undergraduate studies in programming, or equivalent experience, working within agency environment an asset
  • Solid understanding of UX design, working with brand guidelines, layout and design standards
  • Strong communicator and problem solver who is organized and can provide digital strategy consulting and best practices to a business audience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts
