What are your contributions to the team?

  • Researching, understanding, developing, and disseminating information to help create an aircraft design tool facilitating the analysis of some key aspects of engine, systems and airframe integration.
  • Identifying capabilities, features and requirements of the future tool.
  • Preparing a development plan, including the tool architecture.
  • Coding various portions of the tool.
  • Enhancing and/or re-purposing conceptual aircraft modeling and analysis tools in CATIA V5 or Siemens NX, Star CCM+, and other software platforms.
  • Generating aircraft components and models for test and validation of the tool.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You are well versed in Aircraft structures and systems.
  • You are well versed in 3D & 2D modeling and CAD programming.

  • Provides project leadership, analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, training and maintenance.
  • Provides assistance to the IT services group to solve program or other IT related problems.
  • Participates in the design, planning and implementation of technology to support companywide IT initiatives.
  • Provides support which will require after hour “on-call” support on rotation.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Job Specific Skills:

  • 9+ years of development experience on an IBM System 1.
  • Expertise with RPG, RPG/ILE, Synon 2E. SQL/400, Stored Procedures and Query is required.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Strong business analysis and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service oriented.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • University degree or College degree in computer related discipline.
  • Must have at least 5 years of development experience in a business environment with 5 years of experience in business applications performing database management, programming, or data analysis.
  • Ability to develop large-scale web/database applications.
  • Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
