The Opportunity!
Overview of the role: As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and understanding performance-oriented campaigns focused on programmatic display and paid social media channels that drive towards weekly, monthly, quarterly business goals. The successful candidate will be able to identify trends in the business and industry to optimize strategies/tactics accordingly. They will work closely with several different key stakeholders to plan and drive execution of commercial and co-op advertising needs.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide/understand a Programmatic strategy to achieve our multiple metric goals.
- Provide optimization recommendations from targeting to creative suggestions
- Collaborate with Marketing and internal teams as to how display should be part of the outreach activities
- Work with the eCommerce team to implement best practices for display
- Provide input to quarterly content planning based on display trends and assist Communications team with audience targeting
- Create reporting framework for Programmatic display/video
- Execution experience on facebook, Instagram, tiktok and pinterest.
- Awareness of opportunities and optimization strategies on the respective social platforms
- Understand market conditions and trends, inventory opportunities, weekly booking goals to optimize paid social accounts for booking targets and market demand
- Regularly optimize, test, and pivot bid strategies with a keen focus on profitability and cost per booking
- Develop separate strategies for prospecting, consideration, remarketing and repeat customers, prioritizing use of our first-party data
- Conduct routine reporting and analysis of paid social results
- Liaison with the social media team with our media agency and vendors
- Take part in the campaign process from brief to execution.
- Work with B2B marketing to explore and configure new display and social opportunities to offer co-op partners that are scalable and can be operationalized
- Achieve a sustainable balance of delivering value to co-op partners while upholding Sunwing’s strategic objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams to create assets for co-op
- Ensure co-op advertising is executed seamlessly and expected impression and/or engagement goals are realized
- Provide proof of performance report complete with program results and screenshots of campaigns that ran
What You’ll Need:
- Understanding of DSPs like Display Video 360 and other related platforms.
- Experience with buying on Facebook, Pinterest, Tiktok buying platforms
- Good analytical background with the ability to translate data points into business and/or audience insight.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with the Google Marketing Platform (DV360, SA360, CM, GA360) is an asset
- 1-3 years of working experience within programmatic or media buying agency (trade desk, digital agency, internal buying team)
- Excel reporting and presentation skills
- Clear communication skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with a team.
- Experience in Travel marketing an asset.
