We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Marketing Specialist – Digital Sports to provide marketing support within an agile team-based methodology to enable the growth within a designated portfolio by driving incremental registrations in alignment with the business strategy. In support of the defined Product Owner and Marketing Manager, the role leads the execution of all acquisition promotions for the department and supports the identification, evaluation and implementation of marketing initiatives that will increase revenue, profitability and drive excellent customer experiences.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Sr Marketing Manager within the Digital Sports department, you will be empowered to:
- Support marketing strategies, tactics, campaigns, and services associated with the effective promotion of consumer-facing online gaming services across all available distribution channels (including but not limited to online advertising, search engine optimization/search engine marketing, social media, owned site assets, CRM, experiential, promotions, public relations).
- Under guidance of the Marketing team, lead the execution of all acquisition promotions as part of the agile sports lab.
- In collaboration with Marketing Manager, work with Enterprise Analytics team to develop or improve segmented customer strategies to either acquire new customers or extract additional value from existing customers.
- Support paid media campaign activity by assisting the Marketing Manager in planning, creative concept development, execution, optimization, and post analysis with the Marketing Content Communication team to ensure alignment with defined product / lab strategies and priorities.
- Execute in-Lab campaigns through player and promotional systems to ensure successful delivery of promotion / campaign objectives.
- Monitor marketing budget and expenditures and provide Marketing Manager’s & Product Owner’s with monthly updates.
- Contribute to the development of creative to support key tactics via in house and/or support development with external agency/agencies, while maintaining consistency across assets & brand strategy to ensure strong brand support.
- Monitor defined KPIs, verify against market trends and bring forward observations to Marketing team.
CROSS FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- The role works in close collaboration with Lab teams across the Digital business unit to contribute to marketing goals and strategies and leverage knowledge and skills across Marketing teams.
- This role also works closely with the Marketing Manager to support their goals and strategies outside the lab (e.g., paid media, creative, partnerships, etc.).
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
Work Experience: Two (2) years in marketing with a focus on digital consumer growth marketing. Experience with digital marketing via direct-to-consumer channels (media, email, CRM, owned assets, social, etc.). Experience in Agile Development setting an asset.
Knowledge & Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or related field. Knowledge of marketing strategies, tactics and channel opportunities for relevant domains/products. Knowledge of industry trends, user demands and pain points. Comfortable with technology/IT to be able to leverage tools to drive new promotional opportunities.
Critical Skills: Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs to tell a compelling story. Demonstrated ability to operate in a multi-disciplined environment including technology, new product development, product design, promotion, merchandising, advertising, public relations and market research. Strong problem solver with ability to find solutions to drive progress, often with a high level of ambiguity.
