Key tasks:

Plan, create, manage and monitor digital marketing activities across a variety of platforms in support of CBC’s membership and engagement objectives.

Assist in writing, creating and implementing basic and advanced digital media (including email, push notifications, newsletters), internal tutorials and training, and maintain shared resources (best practices, analytics reports, tracking documents).

Identify marketing strategies to deepen engagement with existing CBC audiences, create tailored digital marketing experiences, and explore and recommend marketing strategies for emerging channels.

Working with customer lifecycle analysts, coordinate regular reporting on marketing activities in support of audience benchmarks and network-wide KPIs for engagement, retention, cross-sell and winback.

Identify and define audience segments to be used in targeted marketing tactics.

Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, always-on environment; pitching ideas and working with the broader CBC Marketing team on tent-pole and ongoing campaigns.

As required, research information regarding special projects, new initiatives and administrative matters.

As required, liaison with platform/channel partners and agencies to build relationships, successfully execute projects and enhance the CBC brand within the digital marketing sector.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

University degree or college diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, or related discipline.

More than five years of experience in communications, promotions, and marketing, primarily focused on digital initiatives.

Experience creating audience-facing marketing, communications or editorial materials, writing or adapting existing copy and selecting appropriate promotional imagery.

An understanding of marketing analytics and customer lifecycle / marketing funnel strategies, as well as experience with audience segmentation.

Experience delivering training and presentations related to digital marketing and communications campaigns.

Demonstrated creative and strategic thinking, with a test-and-learn mindset.

Active, highly skilled (as required) and highly familiar with digital marketing industry standards and best practices.

Demonstrated ability to work successfully both independently and as a collaborative member of a team or cross departmental teams.

The AVP, Partnership Marketing – Hotels will be responsible for designing, proposing, and implementing coop marketing strategies that promote revenue growth generated through our Consortia business.

This is a hybrid role with 70% of your time dedicated to strategically planning, negotiating, securing and nurturing coop partnerships across all our brands and 30% of your time you will be focused on implementing and executing the events & coop plans with the support of the marketing team. Making these events the ‘must go to’ events of the year.

This will include but not be limited to;

  • Develop coop program for the Navigatr network of companies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the development of a coop strategic marketing plan with a focus on hotels using market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer behavioural data and engagement, current marketing conditions, sales activities and business planning.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the opportunities with both Kensington Tours and Travel Edge in order to drive revenue and audience engagement, identify and define the most efficient way to attain coop revenue.
  • Partner with Procurement, Product, L&D, Sale and Technology to curate the coop experience and implement and optimize the right mix of touch points, including presales ‘dreaming’, initial sales process, mid-trip communications and post trip follow-ups.
  • Drive new business opportunities by sourcing, pitching brand partnerships and marketing alliances.
  • Develop, manage and execute on the coop marketing, advertising and promotional activities within the agreed marketing budget.
  • Liaise and continually develop relationships with relevant vendors and suppliers; media and advertising, national tourist boards, luxury hotel chains, journalists and other key players in travel industry.

Qualifications

  • Implements marketing initiatives and programs in collaboration with Marketing teams, Sales and Product teams
  • Executes marketing specific campaigns leveraging CRM- Pardot and Sales Force, to drive demand generation (lead creation and conversion)
  • Campaign measurement – monitors and reports on campaigns/ initiatives based on agreed success metrics
  • Campaign optimization – Conducts a/b testing and other optimization measures to ensure maximization of spend vs. effort and (agreed ROI- PPC)
  • Sponsorship & Events – execution of key events live or virtual to deliver departmental objectives (awareness, lead generation or relationship building)
  • Digital competence – ability to understand the messaging and leverage the relevant digital channels to drive awareness, prospects, and marketing qualified leads
  • Working knowledge of social media (strategy execution), nurture campaign process and execution and competitive data analysis

Responsibilities are within the Marketing division as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

  • Undergraduate degree with 1-2 years related work experience
