Why is this role important?

The Manager, Marketing is responsible for leading and overseeing CIHI’s marketing activities including brand, digital analytics, CRM management, sponsorship and the development of personas. The Manager is a relationship-builder and works collaboratively and effectively with internal clients to ensure marketing strategies are developed, executed and measured on time and on budget. In collaboration with others develops the integrated marketing-communications strategy for CIHI.

What you’ll do

1. Leads and motivates the team; provides clear direction; effectively delegates and monitors performance results; motivates and develops others to go above and beyond; supports others through change; makes decisions that balance the best interests of the team, the organization and its stakeholders; and leads by example by living CIHI’s core values.
2. Oversees the department budget and ensures appropriate planning, spending and reporting.

4. Develops major marketing campaigns and events including managing CIHI’s sponsorship program and CIHI’s participation in conferences and events
5. Leads the development of marketing campaigns including liaising with internal/external teams and other partners to develop strategy, reviews and approves creative against established brand guidelines, and aggregates feedback provided by stakeholders.
6. Collaborates with divisional experts and other internal partners to establish measurement plans, indicators and practices that support CIHI’s digital strategy, product roadmaps and operational needs. Facilitates alignment of integrated marketing strategies/plans across the organization
7. Develops and advances digital analytic initiatives that will help mature the organization’s ability to make more data-driven business decisions.
8. Oversees and develops the strategy and management of e-Marketing and CRM programs. Builds and sustains effective relationships both internally and externally
9. Guides the digital analytics strategy for CIHI to support the ongoing growth and maturity of using data and analysis to help shape decisions about CIHI’s digital products and measure their success.
10. Develops strategies to drive the creation and implementation of all email campaigns working on omni-channel marketing across digital platforms

What you’ll bring to the table

  • Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • 5 years experience leading marketing projects with a high level of accountability for completion and demonstrated experience in developing, executing and measuring successful marketing strategies including a broad range of tactics across multiple channels
  • Minimum of 3 years experience leading and managing a team.
  • Previous experience gathering client insights, research and analytics and using them to inform marketing strategies. Keenly aware of emerging communications and marketing trends and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability for strategic thinking with the ability to influence and motivate others to bring about change in a manner consistent with CIHI’s mandate, vision and values.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, negotiating, and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of health sector issues/challenges.
  • Ability to meet travel requirements
  • Fluency in both official languages is an asset

We’re looking for a Manager, Marketing Automation to support B2B Salesforce Communication for the Rogers Sports & Media Revenue Team. In this role you will be responsible for helping to manage our marketing automation strategy, namely email marketing and customer segmentation. This is a unique opportunity to tackle the interesting and complex challenges of an evolving B2B business.

As the Manager, Marketing Automation, the successful candidate will develop, evolve and manage our email marketing capabilities using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. They will own the platform end-to-end and be ultimately responsible for ensuring the right customer gets the right email communication at the right time, according to plan.

This role is equal parts technologist, data scientist, operations expert and marketing strategist. We are looking for someone who can get right into the details – coding emails or querying audience segments – as well as map processes and support on automated email marketing across the company. This candidate is data-driven and can translate analysis and KPIs to gain buy-in from cross-functional stakeholders and drive ongoing operational improvements.

What you will do:

  • Be a Salesforce Marketing Cloud expert at Rogers Sports & Media
  • Bring thought leadership around email marketing and lifecycle communication to our team; with a strong understanding of best-in-class email marketing capabilities you will create and oversee a best-in-class program at Rogers Sports & Media
  • Partner with the Trade Marketing, Go to Market and Sales teams to better understand customer acquisition goals
